UPDATED!! December 2011!!!

Here's me and Batz Maru in our hotel room in the Ikebukuro district of Tokyo. Prolly one of my favorite places in the world.

Batz checkin' out the Tokyo skyline.

Stuffy liked the view, too. This was his first trip outside of the country, and he really liked it.

Proof of the technological superiority of the Japanese - electronic toilets with a heated bidet. This is Batz's favorite spot in the room.

This is what dudes look like in Tokyo....

Here's the Hard Rock Cafe in Roppongi, Tokyo. They serve a damn fine hamburger, and plenty of booze, too.

Trying to ignore the sounds of the young professional ladies working in the hotel.

We didn't expect that the Mexican food in Tokyo would be all that great, so we just went for the Corona. Suprisingly enough, they make pretty good burecialidades(?!).

I get that they can't spell enchilada, but c'mon people - how hard is it to spell "blue"? : p

Batz took a good close-up of himself base jumping from the roof of our hotel. Geez... in New Zealand he tells me he's afraid of heights, then all of the sudden he's doing extreme sports, I dunno...

Merry Christmas from Tokyo!

Pics from the 1999 visit

Unfortunately, one of the most beautiful sites in Japan (Mt. Fuji) was mostly obscured by clouds during my visit. If you squint really, really hard, maybe you can see it.

The Pirates in command of this clipper ship on Lake Ashi finally left us alone after pillaging some booty from our tour boat.

Cruisin' up Mt Komagatake via aerial cable car, I snapped this pic. Notice the big, yellow "40" painted schmack-dab in the middle of the asphalt. I think it may be an extra-terrestrial landing strip or something.

This is the corner Stop n' Grab in Kyoto. Notice the convenient drive-thru beer window. Sure came in handy for grabbing a quick sixer of BUD in the morning. Actually this is the Shogun Palace in Kyoto.

This is a close-up of the main control panel on the bidet in my hotel room. I tried to slip this puppy in my luggage, but the guards confiscated it at the airport.
