Cottesloe Beach is a beautiful place, and certainly a sight to behold.

This part of Perth is Elisabeth Quay (pronounced "key"). This is one of the thousands of beautiful sculptures throughout the city. What a lovely place to live!

The cats love everything about living in Perth, including the view.

Matt loves everything about the beer; although, this one is from a different state (shhh... it's from Victoria)! Had to crop the picture because Matt's fly was open (Ha ha ha).

This is where we live. This is what it looks like in the city (CBD; i.e., Central Business District). Notice there is no graffiti and no garbage in WA (Western Australia).

Me. Obviously, I can't take a picture of myself... but YET AGAIN, here I am. Celebrating Australia Day at Elisabeth Quay! It's very windy (as usual). Perth is absolutely the most wonderful place in which I have ever lived (and I've lived everywhere).

One of the Giants of Mandurah. This is a sculpture created from recycled and reclaimed wood by international artist Thomas Dambo. There are several of these scattered throughout Perth.

Welcome to "Rottnest Island (ROTTO)" WA, home of the marsupial: the Quokka. What's a quokka??? You'll see...

This is a Quokka. They are EVERYWHERE on ROTTO! They are NOT what some may think (huge rats!); rather, more like friendly cats with big teeth.

Across the Ditch (New Zealand)

Spent a week in Auckland, New Zealand recently. This is a beautiful view of a dormant volcano from the Sky Tower.

This is the view from the top of the Auckland Sky Tower. See those ropes hanging just outside the window? Those are for the crazy people who pay $300 to bungee jump from the top of the tower! I saw two drop while I was sitting there, but it happened so fast that I couldn't get a photo. Not sure if they survived...

Heading back home to warm, sunny Perth.

I stopped in Brisbane on the way back. Such a beautiful place!
